The first drive of the preseason for (most of) the No. 1 offense against the Seattle Seahawks served as the foundation. Over the last week, Flacco and the offense have become more comfortable and confident. As Adam Malnati and I talked about on the MHR Radio Podcast (ApplePodcasts, Spotify, and Stitcher), that is reason for fans to get excited. Then in the first day of the combined practices with the San Francisco 49ers on Friday, the offense had a rough day. How would Flacco and the guys respond? Given what we’ve seen from the offense the last three years, it wouldn’t surprise people if they struggled again. I talked about how important it was for the offense to rebound on my weekly Broncos Blast segment on Denver’s ESPN 1600. This may seem like a small thing, but the Broncos offense responded with a strong Saturday to close out the two days of practices with the 49ers. Over the course of a season Courtland Sutton Jersey White , there will be times Flacco and the offense struggles. Where they will face adversity and have things go against them. How Denver responds to those situations, and how quickly, plays a big role in how successful the team will be. As Phillip Lindsay told Mike Klis: “I think we went into it as this was going to be a practice. They came into it as a game. And they shocked us a little bit. We didn’t get knocked down but we got stung. We regrouped and you see us out there today.”To see Flacco and the Broncos offense respond to a rough practice like they did on Saturday is a positive sign for the regular season. There are still areas that need improvement, but this development will assist in making that happen. It also builds the confidence Flacco and Denver’s offense has right now.How about these catches? Speaking of the Broncos offense, if you didn’t see the display from Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick on Saturday, the two receivers were just showing off. Both had incredible one-handed catches. Moar of this please! Sutton Patrick MHR Radio is now on ApplePodcasts, Google Play, iHeartRadio, Spotify, Stitcher,TuneIn and anywhere else you get your podcasts.
