Chemist Creations x Asics Gel Kayano 5 First Look - JustFreshKicks Asics’ Gel Kayano 5 has been on fire this year Fake Yeezys , lighting up release calendars with exciting new projects every few months. This week, the mind’s behind Chemist Creations shared a first look at their upcoming project with Asics, showing off a cream-colored Gel Kayano 5. The Asics Gel-Kayano 5 first appeared on the running scene back in 1999, quickly establishing itself as one of the brand’s best offerings. This year, the Gel-Kayano returned twenty years after its debut, featuring all the details and technology that fans loved from the original, and modernizing them to better fit today’s sneaker scene. Features that fans of the original ’99 version will recognize include the bulky look, defined by a heavily layered upper, Asics Tiger branding, and the visible Gel technology in the heel. Now, the vintage runner is tearing up the sneaker world with one exciting collaboration after the next, like the Chemist Creations project unveiled this week.Chemist Creations is not exactly a household name in streetwear and fashion quite yet, but it should be. You might be familiar with C2H4, a subset of the Chemist brand, and the amazing body of work they’ve put out this year. Chemist Creations follows a somewhat similar design language Cheap Yeezy From China , offering up their Gel Kayano 5’s in an almost monotonous grey and cream-colored mix. The base layers in the quarter panels of this Gel Kayano appear to be made from translucent TPU, and other than the additional set of laces roped through the eyelets, there doesn’t appear to be all that much different about this Kayano 5, though we must admit, it is easily one of the best colorways so far this year.CHEMIST CREATIONS X ASICS GEL KAYANO 5 RELEASE INFORMATIONThe upcoming project from C2H4’s parent company Chemist Creations and Japan’s Asics has not yet officially been given a release date, though the new Gel Kayano 5 colorway is expected to launch sometime in October 2019. The restyled vintage runner will retail for a cool $180, releasing from both CC and select Asics retailers. Mashing up a handful of reworked adidas silhouettes, we present the Torsion X, coming soon. The adidas Torsion X is easily one of the most aggressive silhouettes from the Three Stripes in some time. The shoe includes a range of features from several other Originals franchises, including BYW, Ozweego Cheap Yeezy 350 , and more. The Torsion X begins with what appears to be a standard-issue mesh upper, layered around the mudguard, eyelets, and heel counter with smooth suede for support and stability. The tongue’s shape is borrowed from the FYW-97 that returned earlier this year and is partially locked in place by clear plastic tubing looping around the lacing system. Next, the Torsion X rests on top of brand new tooling that combines the best that Torsion technology has to offer with the recent BYW midsole. As expected, the full-length Boost midsole is divided into three sections, each reinforced with a colorful outsole to provide targeted support underfoot. All three sections of the sole are connected by a crazy looking Torsion bar that begins in the midfoot before reaching outwards and visibly wrapping around the Boost pods for a never-before-seen look.ADIDAS TORSION X RELEASE INFORMATIONadidas Originals’ new Torsion X silhouette has been announced to release next week, on September 14th, 2019. The aggressive new silhouette will carry a retail price of $180, which seems reasonable for all the tech packed inside, and will launch from both adidas and select retailers.
