However, on this Friday morning we have one more to add to the list.NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported this morning that an unusual player who is getting some attention in the final lead-up to the draft went to Green Bay for a meeting with the Packers. That player is Princeton’s John Lovett, a 6-foot-2 Kyler Fackrell Jersey , 234-pound college quarterback who is likely to move to another position in the NFL. Pelissero discussed Lovett on the air about a week ago as well:Interestingly, Lovett is a two-time Ivy League player of the year, winning the award in 2016 and 2018. He also was named an FCS first-team All-American in both of those seasons.A dual-threat quarterback for the Tigers, Lovett passed for 1,833 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior while adding 894 yards and 13 more scores on the ground. The 2016 season saw him contribute in a multitude of ways Josh Jackson Color Rush Jersey , with 582 passing yards, 411 rushing yards (with 20 touchdowns) and even 26 receptions for 235 more yards. Most projections for Lovett’s NFL career have him as a fullback and special teams player. Pelissero referred to him as “a blocking Taysom Hill,” suggesting that he would bring similar versatility to an NFL roster. The Packers do already have a fullback on the roster in Danny Vitale, but Lovett could be an intriguing option as an undrafted free agent to come in and compete for a role on special teams and as an intriguing chess piece for Matt LaFleur.
